MALLKINI

November 2019

Art Direction / Styling

During my time at Michell & Cia, I had the opportunity to work on the art direction and styling for the first runway show of the new brand Mallkini. The goal was to communicate the essence of the brand, which is grounded in youthful adventure and a strong connection to nature. In line with these values, I aimed to translate the brand's commitment to education into the visual storytelling of the show.

By carefully pairing the styling with the set design, I wanted to address the important theme of supporting education in a way that wasn't overtly protest-driven. To do this, we incorporated chalkboards and handwritten messages from students of the school, subtly integrating the brand’s social responsibility in a manner that was impactful but not confrontational. The overall aesthetic reflected the adventurous spirit of the brand while making a statement about the importance of education and its role in shaping the future.
